It is a pleasure for me on behalf of the Danish Canoe Federation to welcome you to the official website of ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup, Copenhagen 2015.

The Danish Canoe Federation – together with our partners Sport Event Denmark, The City of Gladsaxe, The City of Lyngby-Taarbaek and Wonderful Copenhagen –  also welcomes all of you to Lake Bagsvaerd, where the third event of the ICF World Cup sprint series in 2015 will take place on May 29-31 2015.

The venue is situated in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen. Lake Bagsvaerd is a natural lake surrounded by a beautiful forest. The lake has been used for international canoeing events for many decades. The Sprint World Championships in 1970 and 1993 were staged on Lake Bagsvaerd plus – more recently – the Marathon World Cup in 2012 and Marathon World Championships in 2013.

We aim to make this World Cup event an example to follow in terms of good reasonable choices that make the event not only spectacular but also environmentally sustainable.

We will be pleased to welcome you all in Copenhagen on May 29-31 2015.

We will do our utmost to to give all athletes, coaches, officials and spectators an unforgettable and exciting top sport experience in Denmark.
